Solid Smokey Eye

There are a few different types of smokeyeye. They don't really have differential names but I call this style the solid smokey eye because your entire lid is black.

This is my favorite going out look. It stays all night long, even through dancing/sweating. Looks great with little black dresses or jeans and a cute crop top or t shirt. This look can also be revised to any color you want using the same technique and application. A black, pressed or loose powder, eyeshadow. An optional shimmer shadow or glitter pigment.

I a fan of the Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Aqua liners and cream shadows. They are waterproof and dry matte so they don smudge. I have the same issue with my eyeliner running and I get the best results with my MUFE Aqua cream and pencil eyeliners.

Something that helps eyeliner stay is applying a translucent powder to your water line before applying your eyeliner, apply the eyeliner, then go over the eyeliner with a matching eyeshadow (Black on black, blue on blue, Valentino HK white on white, etc.) because it will help keep the makeup on your waterline dry.

Thanks youu, Danger :D

What I love most about doing this look is nothing about it is precise or neat. It all kind of messy but together makes a polished look!

For the cream shadow, I highly recommend the Aqua Matte Black cream shadow by Make Up For Ever (MUFE), which is the one I use in the example. I also have the MAC and NARS version of this. The MUFE version is waterproof and drys matte pretty quickly so your chances of smearing are less.

Not everyone can afford these higher/middle end brands, so if you are using something more Valentino Shoes drug store, then I think cream shadows just take practice with handling.
